The Telford Borough Police Department, along with the Telford Borough Emergency Management and our other first response partners, are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and are properly responding to ensure that the residents of the Borough are safe. We are in daily communication and receiving regular updates from the federal, state and county governments and are adjusting to any recommendations so that the police department can continue to operate at a functioning level.
Call 911 for all emergencies. Advise the call-taker if you, or others at the location, are suffering from a cough, fever or have difficulty breathing.
The Telford Borough Police Department will continue to enforce all laws and maintain order during this period of emergency.
In order to safeguard the officers and staff of the Telford Borough Police Department, the following adjustments have been made:
• Officers are NOT responding to medical calls (except trauma) unless specifically requested by EMS or medical personnel. This includes all private residences, as well as the Telford Lutheran Community, Grundy Manor Apartments and Washington Glen Apartments where there are higher levels of seniors with medical issues.
• The police headquarters office will remain locked, although office staff are available Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 4 p.m. You can contact staff / officers for non-emergency matters during that time by calling 215-723-6700. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE HEADQUARTERS BUILDING UNLESS IT IS A MATTER THAT CANNOT BE HANDLED OVER THE TELEPHONE.
The Telford Borough Police Department encourages all residents to abide by the Governor’s COVID-19 restrictions.
From Randall S. Floyd, Chief of Police
